What's your destiny: It's not about You

When God calls us to a destiny of Life...we also know we are to respond to that Destiny. It is in our response that we remember that it is not about you. No instead God calls us to make it about Him and His children. God calls us to serve others. To do good for other people. When we leave this earth and our destiny of life is fulfilled it should be said about us..."they were a person of God who cared for His people".
Our destiny is about God and others, we're last. May you know the destiny you have...may you serve as God has served you...may you today make it about Him and others!

What's your destiny: Death

What is your destiny...we often hear this question and don't know how to respond. The response is very clear to us through the Scriptures. God's Word is clear that we do have a destiny, and that destiny is death!
God calls us to die...die with Him. Romans 6 is clear that when we die in Christ through Baptism then we begin to really live. The Scriptures teach us that God's church is involved in the death of people as God calls them, but God does not leave His children in death, instead He intervenes and raises them from the dead to new life. The picture of this is the great work of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Death and new life is what our Destiny is. We are to die in our old self. Our rebellion to God and His word, our stubborness to make our decisions and life God are put to death at the baptismal font...and God then brings new life. Life of service, love, truth, and grace. Life each day in God's great love. This is the life that God gives us. For us to know this life though first we must die! Death is our destiny...Life is the result of the destiny. God bless your death and rejoice in the new life.
